REBECCA HILTON
CHOREOGRAPHER
Rebecca Hilton is a Melbourne based teacher, choreographer and director.
A Victorian College of the Arts Graduate, she was a member of Dance Exchange and Dance Works before moving to New York in 1987. She performed and toured extensively with the N.Y. based Stephen Petronio Company (1987-95) and featured in the work of many international artists including Michael Clark, Leigh Bowery, Tere O'Connor and Jennifer Monson. She appears in Matthew Barney's Cremaster series. Rebecca was a founding member of the Lucy Guerin Dance Company and has appeared in the film and video work of Margie Medlin. Rebecca's choreography has been presented in Australia, the U.S., South America and Europe. She teaches extensively for companies, schools and in festivals worldwide including Chunky Move, Lyons Opera Ballet, Berlin Oper Ballet, Vienna Impulse Tanz Festival, Rosas, PARTS, Victorian College of the Arts, Balletlab etc. Rebecca currently serves on the Dance Board of the Australia Council.
